L&D challenges and priorities discussed at Elearnity symposium
Attendees at Elearnity's recent symposium event said that the Learning Management System (LMS) remains a priority for corporate learning in 2012. For many attendees, implementing a new LMS is at the top of the agenda for the year ahead. Whilst managing this key change was important, many also highlighted the need to still maximise the value from existing solutions.

Hachette UK goes live with e2train's Kallidus LMS
The Kallidus Learning Management System (LMS) from e2train has been implemented by book publishing group Hachette UK to manage the delivery of classroom training and e-learning across its publishing business. The new Kallidus system went live in March 2012 and has already been rolled out to more than 1,000 employees across all the group's publishing divisions with further plans in place to incorporate Hachette's warehouse and distribution operations by the end of the year.

Learning technology on show at HRD 2012
With its 'Focus on e learning' report showing that nearly three-quarters of organisations are using IT and the internet to deliver learning and talent-development programmes, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has unveiled a range of technology-focused sessions at its HRD 2012 conference.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has announced details of its HRD 2012 Conference and Exhibition which takes place on 25-26 April at London Olympia. The CIPD says the latest trends in learning and development will be explored at HRD 2012, through a mix of 35 different conference sessions.

There's just one week to go to Learning and Skills 2012 and Learning Technologies 2012. The organisational learning event is taking place at London Olympia next Wednesday and Thursday, January 25 and 26 and over 5,000 L&D professionals are expected to attend.
