He takes up the appointment immediately. A registered charity established in 1970, CAM provides the CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications. The CAM Diploma is awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is made up of five separate modules: advertising; public relations; integrated media; direct marketing & sales promotion; and marketing & consumer behaviour. "John has been a major supporter of CAM for many years" commented Christine Cryne, chief executive of the Institute "I know that in his new position as Chairman of CAM he is sure to have a positive impact on a qualification that is set to rise in popularity. And his dual roles will also help to continue to develop synergy between the two organisations, which have common goals in increasing the skills in marketing and associated areas" John Flynn said: "These are very exciting times for CAM. With the re-launch of its new syllabus, the CAM qualification has become even more relevant to today's business needs after having gone through an arduous process of thorough briefing and updating. It is becoming increasingly popular with learning centres throughout the UK and I believe in a few years CAM will become one of the foremost business qualifications."
