TTS Europe announce next stage of NISTEC 2004

TTS Europe has announced the conclusion of the European stage of this year’s Nissan International Service Technical Contest (NISTEC).

TTS Europe managed the Paris-based motor manufacturer’s prestigious NISTEC competition to find Nissan Europe’s best technicians from thousands of entries from all levels of dealership staff across Europe.

Salisbury based TTS had a major role in facilitating the finalists’ event held in Bruel in Germany, as well as designing the actual competition tasks, and helping judge the winners – who will compete in the NISTEC world final in Tokyo in October.

Jim Heideman, Nissan Europe Network Training and Sales Methods Manager said, "Technical training plays an important role in supporting Nissan’s business objectives, and NISTEC is an opportunity for Nissan to recognise our best trained technicians. As Nissan looks to the years ahead, TTS Europe’s expertise in developing training and supporting activities such as NISTEC are an important element in our support strategy for Nissan dealers and National Sales Companies."

This is Nissan Europe’s third NISTEC competition but the first time that Nissan has outsourced the whole of the competition to a training supplier.

Duncan Souster, TTS Europe’s managing director said, "TTS Europe is Nissan’s primary provider of automotive technical training, making us the ideal choice to develop the key tasks to determine Nissan’s best technicians and the finalists will be using the manuals and processes we have developed."
