Now in their fifth year, the World of Learning Awards recognise and reward organisations and individuals whose exceptional achievements have significantly advanced workplace productivity and performance. The Awards will be presented at a black-tie gala evening on 17 November 2004 at the NEC. Hosted by stand-up comedian and writer Sean Lock, the event features a champagne reception and dinner, with entertainment throughout the evening including dancing into the early hours. The Awards recognise outstanding achievements in the following areas:
"The World of Learning Awards are the pre-eminent standard in the industry", said Lucy Chapman, Project Manager for the World of Learning Awards 2004. "This reputation has been achieved by rigorous independent judging over many years. To be short-listed as a finalist puts a solution, venue or individual in the top echelons of excellence in the training industry, and to be named as the winner, adds the impartial stamp of approval of the whole industry."
