Shortlist announced for 2006 IT Training Awards

Forty one organisations and 16 individuals have been named on the shortlist for the Institute of IT Training's 2006 IT Training Awards.

The Award winners will be announced at a ceremony hosted by international TV personality Lucy Alexander, at The Dorchester, in Park Lane, London, on 2nd February next year.

The shortlisted companies and individuals are as follows:

(The shortlists for the ‘Learning Centre of the year’ and ‘Training Manager of the year’ awards are still to be announced).

One person who judged to have made a significant and lasting contribution to the IT training industry will receive the The Colin Corder award at the Awards' ceremony.

IITT's chief executive Colin Steed said: "Once again, not only has the standard of entries in all categories increased but the number of entries has risen," commented, the. I am sure that the judges who will now determine the award winners will have a very difficult time again this year."

QA, current holder of the Institute of IT Training's 'Training Company of the Year' award, has been shortlisted for the 2006 award, also making the final six for two other awards.

Chief executive of QA, John Beaumont, said: "Having won the Training Company of the Year award in 2005, we are delighted that the ongoing development of the business in the last twelve months has been recognised."
