The first category is 'Learning Innovation of the Year' where KnowledgePool has been short-listed for its approach to providing managed learning services. The second is 'Blended Solution of the Year'. KnowledgePool has been short-listed for its 'Technology Refresh' project for the Home Office, a major blended learning programme involving instructor-led seminars, bespoke e-learning and live coaching. The programme was developed to help 15,000 civil servants upgrade to Windows XP and Office XP from older versions of the software. Paul Jefferson, CEO of KnowledgePool, said: "The World of Learning Awards are significant and highly sought-after accolades. For us to be short-listed in two categories is a real testimony to the dedication of our staff, all of whom work extremely hard so that we can provide our clients with excellent service and I am delighted that these awards have brought them such public recognition." Now in their sixth year, the World of Learning Awards seek to recognise and reward organisations and people who have significantly advanced workplace productivity and performance within the industry. The awards will be presented on 14 November 2006 at the NEC, Birmingham.
