World of Learning award winners 2006

The World of Learning Awards 2006 were presented on Wednesday evening at the NEC Birmingham.

Actress, comedienne and impressionist Caroline Bernstein hosted the black-tie event which was attended by more than 450 people.

Sam Jennings, project manager for the World of Learning Awards, said: "The winners are a shining example of the high standards within the UK training industry.

"This year has seen a record number of exceptional entries, the highest ever number of people attending the ceremony and real enthusiasm in recognising the importance of the people and organisations that make up this diverse sector."

The award winners were:

Bespoke Solution of the Year

• Winner: TNA Ltd – Fire Safety for BSkyB
• Runner up: Virgin Atlantic Airways & ebc – Cabin Crew Safety Programme

Blended Solution of the Year

• Winner: Comet Group Plc – Project Space: The Future of Product Knowledge

Generic Solution of the Year

• Winner: BT Expedite – Virtual View and Learn
• Runner up: Scott Bradbury Ltd – The Accuracy Programme

Online Solution of the Year

• Winner: Auralog – Tell Me More Corporate
• Runner up: Fifty Lessons – Fifty Lessons

Learning Innovation of the Year

• Winner: Polestar UK Print - Printdynamics

Training Venue of the Year

• Winner: The Source – The Source at Meadowhall
• Runner up: National College for School Leadership – NCSL Learning & Conference Centre

Outstanding Contribution to the Training Industry

• Winner: Jeremy Hall, Hall Marketing

Training Manager of the Year

• Winner: Shokat Lal – Coventry City Council
