Home > News > April 2008 > 17 April 2008 Veolia Environnement wins NES awardVeolia Environnement has been named Employer of the Year at the 2008 National Employer Service (NES) Learners First Awards. The environmental services company was also successful in the 'Train to Gain' category. The Learners First Awards were created to recognise the achievements of individuals employed by large (5000+ employees) businesses who hold training contracts with NES. The awards also aim to recognise the achievements of employers who have demonstrated their commitment to skills development in their workplace. The National Employer Service remit includes providing support to employers with more than 5000 employees to make and fulfil their Skills Pledge and to offer nationally accredited in-house training to their people.
