The Apprenticeship Awards, now in their fifth year, are hosted by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and aim to celebrate and reward the contribution apprentices make to their workplace and recognise employers who are developing their young workforce. The award ceremony will be held on 10 July 2008 at the Royal Horticultural Halls in central London. Michael Osbaldeston, group brand manager at City & Guilds said: "We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Apprenticeship Awards. As well as applauding individual and employer successes, these Awards are a testament to the real economic benefits apprentices can bring." Stephen Gardner, director of Apprenticeships at the Learning and Skills Council commented: "Recognising excellence is vital if investment in skills is to be seen as benefiting the nation. This prestigious annual event is the highlight of the Apprenticeship calendar and we are delighted that City & Guilds has chosen to continue its support."
