World Of Learning award winners announced

The BBC College of Journalism, RBS Insurance, Reed Learning and Accenture are among the winners of the World of Learning Awards 2008, which were announced this week in Birmingham.

Now in their eighth year, the awards are part of the World of Learning conference and exhibition. This year's awards were presented by comedian and satirist Marcus Brigstocke.

The winners are:

Bespoke Learning Solution of the Year

• Winner: BBC College of Journalism - Safeguarding Trust
• Runner up: Academee and The Co-operative Financial Services - The Positive Programme

Blended Learning Solution of the Year

• Winner: RBS Insurance - Re-engineered Induction

Coaching Programme of the Year

• Winner: BBC Training & Development - BBC Coaching Programme
• Runner up: West Midlands Local Government Association on behalf of the West Midlands Coaching Pool Partnership - West Midlands Coaching Pool Programme

e-Learning Solution of the Year

• Winner: Accenture - Dare2Share

Rapid e-Learning Solution of the Year

• Winner: Bowie Castlebank - Implementation of Rapid e-Learning Programme
• Runner up: Kineo - Kineo and Cable & Wireless: Rapid e-learning

Learning Organisation of the Year

• Winner: Reed Learning

Serious Games Solution of the Year

• Winner: Venture Simulations - SimVenture
• Runner up: Grass Roots - Game Xcite

Training Venue of the Year

• Winner: The Moller Centre
• Runner up: imago @ Loughborough Ltd - imago at Burleigh Court

Educational & Learning Export Product of the Year

• Winner: EPICT European Pedagogical ICT Licence

Outstanding Contribution to the Learning Industry

• Winner: Charles Jennings (Reuters)

Learning Provider of the Year

• Winner: Reed Learning

The World of Learning 2009 conference and exhibition will take place on 30 September & 1 October 2009 at the NEC, Birmingham.
