Home > News > March 2011 > 28 March 2011 2011 National Training Awards open for entriesThe 2011 National Training Awards is seeking entries from Investors in People accredited organisations that have delivered outstanding training programmes. The Awards celebrate and showcase entrants that can demonstrate organisational benefits gained by directly linking the training needs of their people to the business needs of their organisation. Commenting on the awards, further education, skills and lifelong learning minister John Hayes said: "It is more important than ever that business invests in high quality training that helps individuals develop fulfilling careers, drives competitiveness and fuels economic growth. "Entering the National Training Awards is a real opportunity for employers to gain the recognition they richly deserve for building the national skills base." The National Training Awards are free to enter and covering the following four categories:
This year, the awards judging process will closely relate to the Investors in People criteria and all entrants will be provided with an evaluation report. Free seminars which provide advice and tips on how to prepare a National Training Awards entry are taking place across the UK throughout March and April. For more information visit www.nationaltrainingawards.com The closing date for this year's Awards is Friday 20 May at 5pm. To enter the 2011 National Training Awards, organisations must have been accredited or re-accredited with Investors in People since 31 October 2008.
