e-Learning BTEC certificate in Management Studies launched

Edexcel and AdVal KeyKnowledge have signed an agreement to produce and launch the 'e-Learning BTEC Certificate in Management Studies' to be introduced to the corporate and education market.

The e-Learning BTEC Certificate in Management Studies will contain over 60 hours of learning using the latest e-Learning techniques. Learners will experience streamed video case studies, have access to the latest thinking including John Adair, be able to complete self-analysis questionnaires including Myers-Briggs, experience motivational learning content and be questioned throughout to reinforce the learning.

The e-Learning BTEC Certificate in Management Studies will be made available to all UK Further Education Colleges and also through Edexcel's international network. Assessment of the e-Learning BTEC Certificate in Management Studies will be through the established Edexcel examination procedure.

AdVal KeyKnowledge and Edexcel will also be distributing the programme to private and public sector organisations who require their training to be accredited as a nationally recognised qualification. Assessment will be through a UK network of assessment centres and graduates will be awarded the BTEC Certificate in Management Studies.

Joe Quilter, Director of Publishing at AdVal KeyKnowledge commented: "At AdVal KeyKnowledge we produce learning materials that are both motivating and interesting and the new e-Learning BTEC Certificate in Management Studies will deliver quality e-Learning to the education and corporate market. The demand for accredited e-Learning is increasing and the link to a BTEC qualification is very attractive to private and public sector organisations alike. We are delighted to be sharing this vision through our partnership with Edexcel who are recognised as a leader in the award of vocational qualifications."

Paul Humphries, Edexcel's General Manager of E-business, said: "We are pleased to be working with AdVal KeyKnowledge, who were chosen for the quality of their e-Learning material, to produce content to support the BTEC Certificate in Management Studies.

"This e-Learning content will be a valuable component of Edexcel's BTEC Academy - an innovative part of Edexcel that is revolutionising the way we support our centres thought the considered application of technology."
