Italian course up for grabs in Language Day competition

A competition organised by CILT, the National Centre for Languages, to mark the European Day of Languages, offers the winner the opportunity to study Italian in Italy.

Entrants must answer two questions correctly to be in with a chance to win a one-month course at the British Institute of Florence, with a return flight sponsored by Ryanair.

The competition questions are ‘Who is the patron saint of Florence?’ and ‘On what day is this saint’s festival held?’. Entries should be made via the CILT website: www.cilt.org.uk/edl/competitions/bif.htm by midnight on Thursday 23 September 2004. The competion terms and conditions are on the same web page.

The lucky winner will be announced at a European Day of Languages festival to be held at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, London on Monday 27 September 2004.
