Home > News > January 2005 > 28-Jan-2005 Development resource launched for local government managersThe Employers' Organisation for local government (EO) and the Institute for Leadership and Management (ILM) launched a new faculty for local government managers. The group aims to support middle managers in continuing their development within the sector and learning from ILM members across the public, voluntary and private sectors. "Those working at a middle management level in local government are a clear target of much of the government's concern for improvement in operational as well as strategic practice, said Rob Pinkham, Executive Director of the EO. "They are often seen as the forgotten practitioners in management development but now this is set to change." The new faculty plans to offer:
Through the group scheme, entry is only £48 per head for each manager enrolled by their local authority. Individual memberships are also welcome
