'Develop Yourself as a Business Leader' is made up of four one-day workshops running between 24th February and 24th May. The four modules are: Introduction to Leadership, Personal Impact and self-management, Inspiring and developing others, Leading the Organisation. "Being a manager and being a leader are two very different things", says Tim Brewer, of Headline Training. "In today's exciting but volatile economy the old ways of management no longer work. You cannot address these new challenges with more of the same management solutions. "The fact is leadership risk creates opportunities while management strictness turns them into tangible results. You need managers and leaders to achieve effective company growth, therefore, but successful change is dependent on good leadership. Unfortunately the world is full of managers and desperately short of real leaders." "Although we will run these workshops as stand alone events, most benefit will be derived from attending all four along with like-minded peers from other organisations," added Brewer. "This will expose participants to the challenges of leadership roles and the competencies required at individual, interpersonal and group level to succeed as a leader."
