The competition, supported by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), offers the first prize winner the opportunity of a private morning workshop on copywriting with Gabay at CIM's International headquarters, Moor Hall in Berkshire, together with a signed copy of 'Gabay's Copywriters' Compendium'. Second and third place finalists will also win signed copies of the book. The competition requires entrants to create a hypothetical strap-line or slogan, which could be used by Labour throughout the government's new term in office. In addition, marketers are asked to nominate their favourite advertising slogan from the last ten years. The results will be short-listed by a panel of senior judges at CIM, with the outcome being announced later in May. David Thorp, CIM's Marketing Innovation Manager said: "We are pleased to support copywriters, in giving them the opportunity to benefit from Gabay's extensive knowledge, gained from a lifetime of professional experience." Entries will be accepted from Monday 9th May 2005 until Wednesday 1st June 2005.
