Brent NHS Trust embarks on online management training

Computeach are to support Brent NHS Trust in the delivery of management training for its first line managers. Last Friday’s announcement coincided with the opening of the Trust's education centre at Willesden Centre for Health and Care.

Managers from Brent's NHS Primary Care Trust will initially undertake the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level Three Introductory Certificate. The course will be delivered online in a move designed to offer a flexible approach for staff located across all sites.

Ron Lutaaya at Brent NHS Trust said: "The online ILM Level Three programme will provide an introduction to the key elements of the full certificate, in a focused package, which we hope will offer a quick and economical development for first line managers. The course will cover all six core competencies listed in the NHS knowledge and skills framework.

"Students will be able to study and make good use of the Internet facility opened today at Willesden Centre for Health and Care."

Jackie Kuflik from Computeach, who attended today's Education Centre opening commented: "Employees from both business and public service organisations can benefit from these management qualifications. Our role is to tailor our training courses to the needs of each organisation both in terms of content and delivery. We are delighted to be working with the Brent NHS Trust in this instance and wish the candidates the best of luck with their development."
