The qualification is the result of an alliance between the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the CAM (Communication, Advertising and Marketing) Foundation. Commenting on the launch, Christine Cryne, chief executive of the Institute, said; "The CAM Diploma is not only aimed at the professional marketer but also those who are 'doing' marketing as an additional task, such as administrators or general managers, who want to learn more in order to capitalise from the investment in marcoms events. " Cryne added: "Our CAM qualification helps to place students firmly behind the driving wheel of their marcoms activities. It will give them the confidence to take greater control of business decisions, and a through understanding the conceptual implications of their actions enabling them to fully understand the communications, advertising and marketing aspects of their business."
