Alliance sees launch of management Masters programme

The Learning Tree Management Institute in the UK has initiated an alliance with London’s Kingston University to enable attendees to earn credits towards a Master’s in Management and Business Practice through selected courses in the Learning Tree Management Institute curriculum.

The arrangement exists as part of Kingston University’s Masters by Learning Contract programme.

Learning Tree says candidates can progress from postgraduate certificate to postgraduate diploma and on to master’s levels by attending Learning Tree Management Institute Courses and achieving the programme’s additional learning requirements, typically over a three-year period.

After attending each of the specified Learning Tree Management Courses, there is an accompanying workplace assessment that aims to evaluate how candidates have applied their new knowledge and skills in the workplace.

Learning Tree says that to earn their MA in Business and Management Practice, candidates must successfully complete eight Learning Tree Management Institute Courses, and their workplace assessments, and present a dissertation on a work-based assignment.

Richard Chappell, managing director of the UK-based subsidiary of Learning Tree International, said, "Our relationship with Kingston University is a direct response to the growth in demand we have experienced for our Learning Tree Management Institute courses. Along with continually deepening our own management curriculum, offering attendees the opportunity to acquire a Master’s in Management and Business Practice through Kingston University is a another logical step towards satisfying that demand."
