Marketing qualifications guide released

The Chartered Institute of Marketing has released a guide covering all the professional marketing qualifications that it offers.

Aimed at all those who do marketing, and not necessarily those who have the word 'marketing' in their job title, the 30-page compact booklet offers an overview of the Institute's qualifications.

"The Institute's qualifications are recognised internationally by employers" said Paul Gostick, chairman of the Institute.

"Professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing offer motivated individuals a fast track up the career ladder. We offer our student marketers a structured development framework and equip them with the knowledge and practical skills to be successful in their marketing careers.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing offers qualifications for both marketing novices and practitioners at various stages in their career. Starting with the most fundamental, these are the 'Introductory Certificate in Marketing', 'Professional Certificate in Marketing', 'Professional Diploma in Marketing' and finally the 'Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing'.

The Institute also offers the 'CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications', 'Diploma in Tourism Marketing' and the 'e-Marketing Award'.

Gostick added: "Choosing a career in marketing can be both exciting and challenging. The most effective marketers are those who ensure that their voices are heard at the board table - these are marketing professionals who actually use the tools of their discipline to drive the business forward."
