The project is based on the conversion of, initially, four-hours of class based training for Tornado Managers, a mandatory course for Officers and SNCOs assuming management positions on Tornado squadrons and support organisations. Sqn Ldr Keith Watt saidL "This is one of a number of pilot projects, aimed at increasing our experience of e-learning prior to the anticipated launch of the MOD-wide e-learning system, known as DELDMC. We are looking to see both where and how e-learning works for the student, the trainer and the operating unit in the RAF." According to Line, the approach to the project is highly collaborative and comprises a substantial element of training and knowledge transfer with the RAF technical training community, as well as delivering high quality courseware to students. Andy Key, director of LINE Communications said Were thrilled to have won this project against stiff competition, in a very exciting sector. This talented audience of RAF engineers and technicians is tough to please and wont suffer mediocre learning experiences. Working jointly with the hugely experienced RAF technical training community to meet this challenge is a great privilege for LINE."
