The course, which is being rolled out to all nine Government Offices for the Regions, has been commissioned through the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Already, Trainer1 has produced the first of three commissioned modules - part of a programme providing an introduction to EU funding. The course aims to set out operational and financial procedures and will be available via an intranet. It is intended to be accessed as and when necessary - as a 'half way house' between knowledge management and e-learning. Trainer1's Neil Lasher commented: "These modules are a novel use of computers to disseminate combined learning and performance support tools. As such, this may mark the start of a new manifestation of combining e-learning, performance support and knowledge management."
