Home > News > November 2004 > 17-Nov-2004 BLA takes on key role in e-learning quality projectThe British Learning Association (BLA), has just completed its contribution to the European Project 'Supporting Excellence in E-Learning (SEEL) - a consortium dedicated to the study of the impact of quality policies in e-learning on local and regional development across Europe. The BLA used the knowledge it gained from work carried out in the UK on the production of quality criteria for open and flexible learning provision, to produce guidelines that could help ensure quality in e-learning, at both a local and regional level across Europe. The guidelines are titled 'Learning Strategy and Innovation'. Brian Merison, General Manager of the BLA said, "We were delighted to be approached to assume a lead role in the project. Our Quality Mark has earned a reputation for its rigour with a set of credible criteria of proven value. For our expertise in quality in learning to be called upon is a credit to the Association and its work on e-learning standards."
