Trainer1 unveils new version of the Lectora authoring tool

Trainer1 has revealed the latest version of its flagship product - Trivantis' Lectora Publisher.

Trainer1 report that the 'Lectora 2005' software includes several new features including allowing the creation and updating of sharable media libraries; enabling questions to be imported in bulk from question banks held in Access databases or Excel spreadsheets, and allowing courses to be published to HTML without removing AICC/ SCORM specifications.

Neil Lasher, managing director of Trainer1 commented: "As a developer of e-learning materials, I am impressed with the new features included in Lectora 2005. All of them are useful - and usable - additions to the product, not 'gimmicks'.

"Along with Trainer1's own products, Context Sensitive Learning TM and the knowledge management tool Argonaut, Lectora 2005 will form the focus of Trainer1's stand at the Learning Technologies exhibition, being held at London's Olympia, on 26th and 27th January."

According to Trivantis, Lectora is now the preferred multimedia authoring and publishing tool of hundreds of corporations, universities and government organisations for the creation and delivery of custom interactive content.

A Trivantis spokesperson said: "Featuring a low learning curve and vast features and functionality, Lectora blends simplicity with extensibility, providing a unique solution for a wide range of authoring and publishing needs."
