Based on Jamie Oliver's campaign to transform school dinners, the programme, breaks the topic down into a series of digestible lessons to help employers and employees deal with change when it inevitably occurs in their workplace. Jamie Oliver, commenting on the campaign, said: "The sheer scale of trying to change the whole borough, get the teachers and dinner ladies behind me, bring parents and kids onside meant the campaign was very tiring and a bit depressing sometimes. But seeing the dinner ladies and children transformed and taken to another level was a real high point. It was a struggle, though. But it's got to be fun, not forced, then slowly, slowly, they'll start to shift." Part 2: ‘Living with change’ looks at the other side of the coin addressing how change affects the workforce and showing ways of coping with it to make the process easier to embrace. Martin Addison of Video Arts said: "Whether you're managing it or living with it, change is a very complex issue. That's why it's so hard to demonstrate its benefits. With Jamie's School Dinners, however, we are able to give a powerful example of change management in action. "Jamie faced numerous challenges in his crusade to improve school dinners but with his positive attitude, determination and ability to motivate he got people on side with great results. We believe there are some valuable lessons to learn from Jamie's experience and have packaged them in a fun and accessible way so that other organisations can benefit positively from change." Jamie's School Dinners: A recipe for managing and living with change is available on DVD and video. The programme comes with support materials including a course leader's guide, delegate worksheets and customisable presentation slides.
