Birmingham Midshires offers interactive DVDs in learning centre

Birmingham Midshires is housing the full Balance Learning range of interactive DVDs in its learning library, 'Learn-it'.

"The DVDs are an extremely versatile resource. We have used them as a stand alone learning tool and we also plan to use them in facilitated training sessions," said Julie Horton part of the training & development team at Birmingham Midshires.

"Not only have we found them to be a really beneficial learning resource, the service we have received from Balance Learning has been first class."

Balance Learning says they introduced the DVDs after research showed that there was a need in the training market for an interactive product that could be used without the need to address firewall and security issues.

The company says the DVDs offer bite size learning and can be used in a standard DVD player or in the DVD-Rom drive of a PC, which means they can be used at the desk, in a learning library, at home or while in the field.

Chris Horseman, managing director of Balance Learning said: "Organisations are discovering that our Interactive DVDs can really work for them in a number of ways, and it is this flexibility, coupled with our trademark content, that is seeing the product storm the UK market."

Balance Learning's Interactive DVD courses include: influencing skills, customer service, coaching for performance, managing meetings, leadership & teamwork, managing conflict and difficult behaviour, performance management, powerful presentations and problem solving.
