Supported by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the BLA's aim is to promote the UK's learning and development sector as a centre of expertise, with opportunities available for UK products and services worldwide. The BLA will be holding a pre-conference forum on 'Lifelong Learning in the UK' and will have an exhibition presence to provide a UK focus for delegates where a 'UK Capability' brochure will be distributed. A reception for Online Educa delegates will be hosted by the British Embassy in Berlin to support the initiative. Brian Merison, general manager of the BLA said, "This is a fantastic opportunity to promote the UK's leading position in lifelong learning, and we are proud that the BLA is the organisation taking this forward with the support of UKTI." Online Educa Berlin takes place on 29 November - 1 December 2006 and is one of the largest International e-learning and distance education events, attracting more than 2000 attendees from around the globe.
