The programme aims to help Thomson employees match customers with the most suitable short breaks. Katie Grocott, e-learning consultant for Thomson Holidays, said: "The travel market is very competitive so we have to make sure that our employees are constantly kept up-to-date with the latest information about destinations to be able to offer a superior customer experience. "Because our employees are already experienced e-learning users we challenged several e-learning companies to come up with innovative suggestions that would really catch their attention. Brightwave stood out as being creative, we liked their collaborative approach and they are a good cultural fit with us." Starting with a city game, Brightwave says the programme will mix a variety of interactive exercises and assessments to keep the learners' attention. Charles Gould, managing director for Brightwave, said: "In today's competitive retail market companies such as Thomson have to ensure that their employees are able to match the right product with the customers' needs so that they can close more sales and improve customer satisfaction. "This can be particularly tricky when you have a predominantly young and impatient target audience that tends to switch off if the training is not interesting or directly maximises their sales opportunities. "Bespoke e-learning is an excellent alternative as it offers interaction along with a rich media experience, something that most people are comfortable with today."
