Health finance organisation launches NHS e-learning

The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) has partnered with Information Transfer to develop a new e-learning service aimed at NHS staff throughout the UK.

The first HFMA e-learning courses were launched in early July and delivered using Information Transfer's Knowledge Centre learning management software.

Martin Walsh of HFMA said: "Improving financial management is one of the biggest challenges that the NHS is currently facing, but it's not just finance professionals that need to ensure they keep on top of their CPD.

"It's becoming increasingly important for non-finance staff to get to grips with the finances and to update and develop their financial competence."

Current subjects published or in development include 'Budgeting', 'NHS financing in England', 'Practice-based commissioning' and 'Payment by results'.
