The company says the document management system course will replace the face to face course within the VSO induction programme for all staff in the UK. As well as developing courses for VSO staff in the UK, Bourne has implemented a suite of 5 courses aimed at Programme Office staff in Asia, Africa and South America. The courses, which include titles such as Managing Volunteer Health, Returning Volunteers and Introduction to Security, are designed to support Programme Offices in managing volunteer placements. Mike Ditchburn, managing director of Bourne Training said: "We have developed an important relationship with VSO and worked with them to meet some of their unique training challenges. Certainly, helping Programme Offices in developing countries manage some of the health and security issues they face is very rewarding and we have learnt a lot about real world issues through this work."
