This is the first year that the IVCA has included a dedicated e-learning category in their awards. In addition to the gold award for e-learning, the Samaritans CD-ROM also won the bronze award for 'external interactive media'. Steve Evans chair with Samaritans said: "Winning the Gold Award for Samaritans' WorkLife CD-Rom at the International Visual Communications Awards is an exceptional achievement. These awards are recognised marks of excellence for effective business communication across an extensive range of media, the equivalent of the BAFTAs for the UK Corporate Communications Industry." Rita Shamia, head of charity & corporate films at Media Trust Productions said: "Samaritans challenged us to come up with a creative and engaging way of delivering their existing training package in a digital format. We are delighted to have been involved in producing a unique resource that will support emotional health within the workplace."
