The 2009 HRD Conference and Exhibition is organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and takes place on 21-23 April at ExCeL, London. Video Arts has dissected a number of its DVD programmes to create a Digital Content Library of over 1,000 bite-sized 'learning chapters', each of which lasts two to three minutes and covers a specific learning point. These chapters can be accessed online, via an organisation's intranet or offline via a video hard drive. At HRD 2009, Colm Gibson, learning resources architect at Video Arts, will be presenting a free 'topic taster' seminar outlining how these video clips can be used in in-house e-learning, blended learning or classroom-based training programmes. The session will run 10.00-10.30am on Tuesday 21 April 2009. Video Arts has also created a new 'pay as you go' service which is designed to allow independent consultants and training companies to use Video Arts digital video clips in their client training. Like a prepaid mobile phone service, credits can be purchased in advance and used to access any content as and when needed. Video Arts will also be showcasing its 57 e-learning courses, which cover subjects such as people management, communication, customer service, interviewing, selling skills and diversity. Martin Addison, managing director of Video Arts, said: "Our Digital Content Library and streaming options make it easier and more cost effective for organisations to use our video clips in their training. "We've extended our offering, so you can either have unlimited 'anytime, anywhere' access to all of our content or you can now 'pay as you go'."
