Insolvency Service launches new e-induction

The Insolvency Service, working with managed learning service provider Edvantage group, has launched a series of four
e-learning modules as part of its new induction programme.

The new modules are designed to deliver bite-sized chunks of learning to 150-250 new employees each year. Topics covered include general information, health and safety, and security. Users can revisit any of the modules by way of a refresher as required.

The development of the modules was outsourced to Edvantage group. They were developed using CourseBuilder, a collaborative authoring tool that provided those in the joint development team with access to the modules in production.

Roger Taylor, head of people development and learning at the Insolvency Service, said: "We are really pleased with this project which involved a number of key people in the development team. One thing we have learnt is that collaboration really pays off and by using the right tool you can involve lots of people but keep the production programme moving."

The induction modules are delivered through Edvantage group's Learning Management System, Learning Gateway.
