The conference brings together leaders in IT training including commercial training providers, corporate training managers, high school and post-secondary IT instructors and representatives from government and not-for-profit organisations. "The CompTIA Strategies North America process provides a one-of-a-kind networking and learning opportunity for leading experts in the IT training field," said William Vanderbilt, director of CompTIA's Technology Learning Group. "At the conference commercial and academic training centre managers meet face-to-face to identify new solutions, collaborate with peers and meet vendors. The conference is a key piece of the CompTIA Strategies learning process." The CompTIA Strategies NA process includes opportunities for information exchange prior to, during and after the event in New Orleans. A series of pre-event cybercasts, conference calls and e-community exchanges will provide advance preparation for the conference activities. The process continues post-event as delegates meet electronically to discuss implementation of practices learned at the event. Bob Mosher, director of learning and strategy evangelism at Microsoft Learning will give the conference keynote presentation. A new report, "The State of the IT Training Industry" provides key data on the training and certification market and will be released at the event. As part of CompTIA's commitment to supporting the IT training industry, CompTIA Strategies North America 2004 addresses the issues raised by IT training managers at Colloquium 2004 in earlier this year. Supporting workshops will provide face-to-face collaboration opportunities for Strategies attendees to discuss issues and analyse best practices.
