Home > News > September 2004 > 21-Sep-2004 Post-16 e-learning conference helps practitioners shape personalised learningThe 'Post-16 e-learning practitioners conference 2004', organised by Becta and supported by the National Learning Network, will take place on 29-30 November at the Manchester International Convention Centre The event will bring together over 350 practitioners, managers, and policy makers from across the learning and skills sector. The conference will cover the delivery, technical aspects, and management of personalised learning and is open to college lecturers, e-learning technologists and senior managers; work-based learning providers; adult and community learning providers; policy makers from local and national agencies; and commercial software and hardware providers. Delegates will participate in workshops led by key representatives from national agencies including Jisc and Niace, and institutions such as Leeds University, Kings College London, and the Institute of Learning and Research Technology at the University of Bristol. "This conference is a unique event which aims to share and promote good practice in the use of ICT and e-learning", said Christine Vincent, Director for Learning and Teaching at Becta. "It is a professional development and networking opportunity for delegates who will have the opportunity to hear about the vision for e-learning and personalised learning from key policy makers."
