Home > News > October 2004 > 11-Oct-2004 New research and over 100 speakers at CIPD annual conferenceThe Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) annual conference and exhibition will feature over 100 speakers from around the world including management gurus and senior figures from business and government. Two new pieces of CIPD research will be launched at the event looking at attitudes towards paternity leave and bullying in the workplace. Speakers at the event include Gary Hamel on The Quest for Resilience; Heike Bruch on How Effective Leaders Manage Themselves and Their Jobs; Joe Simpson, Mountaineer, on Touching the Void; and Warren Bennis on Competencies of Exemplary Leadership. A free exhibition will run alongside the conference. Spread over five halls in the Harrogate International Centre, it will feature over 300 major suppliers of HR products and services. Visitors can also attend a complimentary fringe programme of breakfast and early evening presentations addressing management and HR themes.
