Home > News > December 2004 > 29-Dec-2004 ASTD TechKnowledge 2005 Conference and EXPOThe American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) TechKnowledge® 2005 Conference and Exposition will be held from January 30 to February 4, 2005 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Preconference workshops will take place Jan. 30Feb. 1, the Conference will be held Feb. 2-4, and the EXPO will take place Feb. 2-3. Keynote speakers for ASTD TechKnowledge 2005: Wednesday, Feb 2nd David Allen from The David Allen Company, will present "Stay Clear, Stay Focused, Stay Sane - in a World of Too Much To Do." Allen will discuss his framework for processing work while avoiding stress and distraction. He will explain how people can renegotiate their inventory of commitments by capturing, processing, organising, and reviewing all of lifes stuff with an effective and streamlined approach. Mr. Allen has spent more than 25 years researching and implementing high performance methods in personal and organisational productivity. Fast Company magazine calls him one of the worlds most influential thinkers on productivity. In addition to authoring two books, Allen is listed by Forbes magazine as one of the top five executive coaches in the United States. Friday, Feb 4th Marcela Perez de Alonso, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, HP, will discuss "The Other e in e-Learning", exploring how the e in e-learning can also refer to evolving and enhancing. Ms. Perez de Alonso joined HP in 2004. She was formerly with Citigroup, and has recently been selected as one of the most influential Hispanics in the United States by the Latino Coalition.
