Home > News > February 2005 > 10-Feb-2005 The British Learning Association Conference 2005The second annual conference of the British Learning Association (BLA) is to take place on Tuesday 26th April 2005 at the Royal Institute of British Architects, London. Guest speakers include Bob Fryer, National Director for Widening Participation in Learning at the NHSU, and Mark Cummings, Senior Policy Adviser e-Learning Strategy Unit at the DfES, who will address the opening keynote session 'Building a Learning Culture', reviewing both organisational and learners’ needs in new and demanding cultures and environments. Other contributors include representatives from Becta, Barclays University Business School, BBC Worldwide Learning, The National Extension College, NEWOD, Fuel IT and e-skills UK. Commenting on the event, David Wolfson, Chair of the BLA said, "Whatever the size of your organisation, I'm sure you are keen to know what's on the learning agenda now and for the future. What does best practice look like? What are the interesting initiatives to help lead us forward? This year’s BLA conference brings together major practitioners and thinkers who are helping to shape the future of learning."
