"The EMEA Global Congress is a unique opportunity for project management practitioners from every sector to elevate their levels of knowledge, skills and expertise, and to network with colleagues from throughout the region," said PMI's CEO, Gregory Balestrero. "Business executives in EMEA are investing billions of dollars in infrastructure and capacity increases and, based on our survey data, they have recognised the value of professional project management and are integrating it into their respective organisations as a core competency. "This is evidenced, as well, by the growth of our membership and the increased number of practitioners seeking project management certification across Europe, the Middle East and Africa." According to PMI, the Global Congress 2005-EMEA will focus on a number of specific learning areas including:
