Lasher and Harrison to address ASTD conference

Neil Lasher, managing director of Trainer 1, and Epic's Mark Harrison will be giving an address at the American Society for Learning and Development international conference and exposition being held in Orlando, Florida, from 5th to 9th June 2005.

Harrison and Lasher will lead a 'hands on' session that reviews the ASTD's European Forum, held in London in March. The London event focused on learning from the research and development of ideas from the European ASTD community.

The Forum - attended by over 50 senior learning executives from around Europe - developed a suggested best practice checklist or 'identikit for the alignment, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of learning.

Lasher commented: "The ASTD's goal is to develop a standard set of metrics/indicators and reporting frameworks to monitor, evaluate and compare the alignment, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of the learning and performance function within and across organisations.

"Mark Harrison and I will be providing a synthesis of the views of the UK's top HR and learning professionals to help move this process forward".
