Training Foundation hosts open day for financial services sector

The Training Foundation is hosting an open day on 15th June 2005 for organisations in the financial services sector.

The free event is entitled ‘Knowledge Transfer - Making Training Pay’ and features a keynote speech from Sara Powell, Accreditation Manager for the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC).

Powell will look at a number of assumptions about training that she says get in the way of using it to create a better business. Attendees will get also get the chance to find out more about the new FSSC Accreditation of Training Excellence.

The FSSC accreditation award is designed for financial services sector firms and learning providers that can demonstrate their investment in training produces a desired business outcome.

Sandra Lucas, Financial Services Sector Manager for The Training Foundation said: "The Open Day event represents an ideal opportunity to find out more about both the FSSC and The Training Foundation.

"If you have responsibility for learning and development in the financial services sector then the 15th June could be your most productive day out of the office this year."

The event runs from 10:30am until 3.30pm including lunch.
