Home > News > August 2005 > 18-Aug-2005 FSSC announces details of inaugural conferenceThe Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) is holding it first ever conference - 'The Productivity Challenge' - on 14th October 2005 at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster, London. 'The Productivity Challenge' is aimed at financial services firms, education and training providers and other individuals and organisations involved with the financial services industry. According to the FSSC, highlights will include: * US expert Dr Laurie Bassi on improving your organisation's return on investing in people * Stuart Bernau, Commercial & Treasury Director at Nationwide, and Nigel Crouch of the DTI Innovation Group take a look at what makes an inspiring leader * David Kenmir, Managing Director, Regulatory Services, FSA maps out the road to lighter regulation "Productivity is the Holy Grail of the UK financial sector, particularly when faced with the ever-increasing pressures of global competition. Highly skilled people, able to meet business needs in a rapidly changing environment, have never been more crucial," said FSSC Chief Executive, Teresa Sayers. "The conference will allow delegates to find out more about every aspect of the people challenge, from attracting new talent to inspirational leadership." Delegates booking before 31st August will receive an Early Bird discount of £50.
