Gladwell and Masie to speak at Dublin conference

The Future of Learning will be the focus of a 2-day event featuring author Malcolm Gladwell. Nigel Paine, head of people development at the BBC, and Elliott Masie, founder of the Learning CONSORTIUM.

The event, Learning Futures, will take place in Dublin, Ireland at Trinity College, July 10-11.

Topics to be addressed at Learning Futures include:

  • Globalisation of learning
  • Mobile and device learning
  • Gaming for learning
  • Analytics and metrics for learning
  • Open source
  • Learning disrupters
  • The changing learning marketplace
  • New roles and functions for learning professionals

Elliott Masie, the event's host, said: "Learning Futures will bring together corporate executives to discuss and plan for the changing workplace.

"We are excited to host Learning Futures at Trinity College. It is only fitting that we meet in one of the oldest educational campuses to discuss tomorrow's learning models and approaches."
