The event aims to help managers get a feel for why visual communication can be so effective, giving them the opportunity to hear how other businesses have used visual management techniques in manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments. Professor Snowden from Cardiff University will begin by delving into the physiological aspects of 'Seeing', exploring the brain machinery involved in vision, and how this machinery is used to guide our behaviour, both at a conscious and unconscious level. Hazel Douglas from Enteleki and Steve Whiddett from WHE, will then uncover the psychology behind visual learning techniques. Looking at how images - both real and imagined - can affect beliefs, behaviours and support organisational change, considering why visual imagery works and why it sometimes fails. The event will also feature speakers from Unipart, Coopervision, AT Partners, Ordnance Survey, John Crane and the Jaguar Control Centre, who will talk about their experiences of using visual management.
