Home > News > August 2006 > 07 August 2006 CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition 2006The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is holding its Annual Conference and Exhibition in Harrogate from Tuesday 24 October 2006 to Thursday 26 October 2006. This year’s event features over 40 seminars, covering topics such as leadership, managing change, talent management, HR strategy, and debates about the future of unions. Keynote speakers include Renee Mauborgne on the Blue Ocean Strategy; Rob Goffee and Gareth Jones on Why Should anyone Be Led by You?; and Marcus Buckingham on What Great Managers Do. Over 7,000 people are forecast to attend the exhibition which runs alongside the conference. Spread over five halls in the Harrogate International Centre, the CIPD says exhibition will feature over 300 major suppliers of HR products and services covering all aspects of people management and development. As well as on-stand activities and previews, this year’s event features a new series of free showcases. In the Exhibitor Exchange visitors can check out latest product and service developments in a series of 30-minute presentations.
