Show visitors urged to take advantage of free training

Visitors to the Recycling & Waste Management Exhibition (RWM06) are being urged not to waste the free opportunity to enhance their career prospects.

The event organisers say visitors to the RWM06 Training Zone can attend any of the 12 free seminar sessions, meet with leading course providers and apply to win a bursary for an environmental training programme worth £1,200.

The training seminars are approved by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and each seminar session provides 45 minutes towards the Institution's Graduate Structured Education & Training Programme and Continuing Professional Development.

Exhibition director Steve Crowhurst said: "The recycling and waste management industries are among the fastest-growing employment sectors in the UK. As they grow, it is increasingly important to ensure they are supported by a skilled workforce, which has undertaken the appropriate training and professional qualifications.

Crowhurst added: "RWM06 is the ideal place to find out more about the training and careers in these thriving sectors, make valuable contacts and gather the latest course information."

Throughout RWM06, Middlesex University is offering visitors to its stand (E8 in the Training Zone) the chance to win a bursary for a work-based training programme (worth £1,200) at the University's Centre for Environment and Safety Management for Business (CESMB).
