FSSC announces conference line-up
Financial Services Authority chairman Sir Callum McCarthy, Investors in People UK CEO Ruth Spellman and skills minister Phil Hope MP are some of the speakers at Skills Pay, the Financial Services Skills Council's (FSSC) annual conference this month.
Channel 4 News at Noon anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy hosts the full-day conference, which takes place on 31 October 2006 at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster, London.
The conference will explore how businesses can achieve a competitive edge through leading, motivating and improving the skills of their employees.
The programme includes a look at the results of some new productivity research with Professor Mike Campbell OBE, the Sector Skills Development Agency's director of strategy and research.
The event also features a session with Nigel Crouch, senior industrialist at the DTI, and John Timpson, chief executive and chairman of Timpsons Ltd, entitled 'Does inspirational leadership produce inspirational results?'.
