According to the organisers, this year's conference will discuss the key issues facing learning and development professionals today, and respond to the increasing demands being placed on delivering more effective learning on restricted budgets. Andrew Gee, senior project manager for the World of Learning, said: "The World of Learning has continually grown and evolved with the industry, responding not only to economic and market forces but also to technological and cultural developments in learning. "This will again be reflected within the themes of this world-leading conference as well as in the many features of the exhibition. In 2009 the World of Learning will provide a comprehensive resource and guide for learning and development professionals at all levels with solutions to their needs and the opportunities in the economic world of today." The organisers say the learning and development solutions on show will reflect the current demands in the industry, ranging from blended solutions, e-learning, HR/learning management systems and social media, to management development, coaching, instructor-led training and training venues. Alongside the conference and exhibition, the event will include free seminars, interactive workshops, an Experiential Learning Zone, the BILD Advice Clinic, the Serious Games Zone, product presentations, a Venue Pavilion, and the Learning Architect Energiser Zone.
