HR tools and techniques in the spotlight at CIPD Annual Exhibition

Thousands of HR and development professionals are expected to head to Manchester next month to attend the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's Annual Conference and Exhibition.

Taking place alongside the CIPD Annual Conference, the exhibition is an opportunity for people management professionals to assess the a wide range of HR tools and techniques under one roof in the Manchester Central hall.

Exhibitors at this year's show include universities and business schools, employee benefits providers, online learning specialists, consultancy services, talent management experts, government organisations, change and OD professionals, and health and well-being specialists.

Exhibition 'hubs' focusing on recruitment and talent management, employee benefits and HR software have been created to help visitors home in on specialist areas of HR.

In a series of free bite-sized sessions, the Exhibitor Exchange Theatre will be exploring a range of topics including employment law updates, the impact of social media, and getting talented people on the right career path

The event also features a new Skills Shop to help HR practitioners in their own career development. A schedule of networking and social media events will run throughout the three days of the show in the ACE Interactive Zone

The 2011 CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition takes place in Manchester on 8-10 November.
