InfoBasis raises funding from Oxford Capital Partners

Skills management technology provider InfoBasis, has announced the successful completion of major venture capital funding from high-tech investment firm Oxford Capital Partners.

According to Infobasis, the investment will allow InfoBasis to accelerate its growth plans and to meet increased demand for skills management products built on its software platform InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Infrastructure - InfoBasis ESI. InfoBasis clients currently include Microsoft Corporation, the British Army, Norwich Union and the Prudential.

"We have been impressed by the team's ability to form partnerships with leading players in the human capital market. InfoBasis already has a strong list of blue chip clients, and our investment will enable the company to accelerate its growth plans," said Oxford Capital Partners Senior Partner David Mott.

"Businesses are feeling the pressure from shareholders to increase the productivity of their workforces and from regulators to improve accountability. The market for managing human capital is growing rapidly and InfoBasis is well positioned to capitalise on this growth."

InfoBasis CEO Ashley Wheaton commented: "We are very pleased to have secured this investment. InfoBasis has already shown its huge potential in the skills and human capital marketplace. This funding will help us realise it. While planning this investment, Oxford Capital Partners showed itself to be a valuable partner, being both flexible and providing valuable insight based on its considerable business experience. We are delighted that David Mott will be joining our board of directors and continuing to work with us in this way."
